I would like to know your thoughts on these two bikes i ride xc in Florida fast flow with tight turns and a lot of short climbs your help would be much appreciated iam going to buy one of these two soon iam also a big rider 6’3 250 pounds Thank you very much.
Hey Mike. You’ve chosen two really good and evenly matched bikes. I think the Turner Flux and Pivot M4c both accelerate briskly, are nimble, very well built, handle some decent amount of rough terrain, and fight above their weight class. And they are both very well supported by their respective manufacturers. Do you like carbon better or aluminum? Swoopy lines or square and round industrial tubes? Tough choice. I think for me it would come down to which one my trusted shop carried, or where I was able to get the best deal, or which really cool bike building legend you’d rather support: Dave Turner or Chris Cocalis.
Ok thanks for your reply which fork do you think would be a good choice for either of the two bikes and again iam around 255 with gear on.Also not riding the flux which bike would be snappier and quicker in tight turns thanks again.
I think the Pike at 130 would be a good match for those bikes and your size. Not sure which would be quicker in tight turns but my impression was that the M4c was a little quicker handling than the Flux based on the set up I rode with these two bikes. I think either could be made to feel pretty snappy depending on set up.
Thanks again for your advice much appreciated.
